A special day for The Hearing House van

We recently celebrated the blessing of our mobile hearing clinic by Tom Irvine and Robbie Paora  of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

At the blessing, we gave thanks for the vision of our founders Sir Pat Moore and Phil Ryall, the special artwork designed by celebrated Tā Moko artist Graham Tipene, the support of our generous funders and benefactors, and all the mahi that has gone into making the van a reality.

The van was recently based at the Ko Taku Reo unit at Ormiston School, so it's out there doing what it does best – serving our communities where they live, work and play.

Thank you to everyone involved for this very special taonga. We'll treasure it always.

Special thanks to the Punchestown Trust, the Hugo Charitable Trust, the Lindsay Foundation, Trillian Trust, ANZ New Zealand Staff Foundation, NR and JH Thompson Charitable Trust, Maurice Paykel Charitable Trust, Trust Waikato and Hearing House client Grace McKean.
